As you move deeper into the process of becoming the next version of yourself, you will begin to experience all kinds of emotions.

Overwhelmed. Impatient. Discontent. Exhausted…

In addition to feeling a bit of relief, clarity, and accomplishment.

One way I bring order to the mix of emotions that are part of the process of becoming better is to give myself daily pep talks.

Here are some pep talks you didn’t know you needed:

Start addressing your life one season at a time, one month at a time, and one day at a time instead of trying to change your entire life all at once.

No matter how long it took you to get here, you’re here now. And you should be proud of that.

Count the lessons, not just the losses.

Stop planning a future around temporary people. Let them serve their purpose and leave.

The only person you need to compare yourself to is the unhealed version of you. And even then, show grace.

Take a break, catch your breath, adjust your approach, but don’t fold.

You will continue to feel all the feelings as you go and grow. When you need to reel yourself in, give yourself a pep talk. Sometimes you just need reminders that will give you the perspective you need to push forward.
