During this time of year everyone is usually talking about resolutions, hosting vision board parties, and sharing their goals. But this year feels different. There’s this undercurrent of fear. There is a residue disappointment and loss. There are remnants of the unmet goals we set at the top of 2020. To say last year was hard really isn’t saying enough.
We may each have stories of loss, disappointments, unexpected pivots… But if you’re reading this, you survived it all- and you should be proud of that.
According to Inc.com, researchers say about 60 percent of us make New Year’s resolutions, but only about 8 percent are successful in achieving them. And even after years of not achieving a single resolution, people continue to set them- hoping for the best, while never actually planning or taking action toward it.
Not this year. I think we all need a more intentional fresh start.
…One that is reflective, one that speaks to our core values, and one that challenges our thoughts and makes room for our feelings.
